About Us
The Center for Electric Power Engineering (CEPE) was established on November 14, 2018, at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Kathmandu University to develop a research-oriented environment in the field of electric power engineering. The CEPE expects to form a reticulate network of scientists, professors, faculties, students, and stakeholders of different countries/institutions/ organization to deal with power engineering issues.
With the support of the EnergizeNepal Project Office, Kathmandu University, this center aims to establish national standard reference laboratories for High-Voltage Application Testing, Power Appliances Testing, Energy Efficiency Technologies Studies, and Lighting and Illumination Designs. The establishment project is funded by The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and is managed by Kathmandu University (KU), Nepal in cooperation with Hydro Lab, SINTEF EnergiAs and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway.
