Illuminance Meter

  • by

Illuminance meters (light meters, spot meters or lux meters) are the industrial cousins of photographic light meters, typically with improved accuracy, added functionality, and traceability. An illuminance meter measures the amount of visible light energy falling on to a defined area, using lx or fcd to express that available light as a measure of perceived brightness.

Traceable measurement of illuminance and the colour of lighting is a common requirement in the built environment. Well designed and maintained lighting provides visual acuity, a feeling of safety, creates atmosphere and is common in:

  • Shops
  • Restaurants
  • Offices
  • Hospitals
  • Public Transit hubs
  • Government buildings and more

The center has a wide range of Illuminance meters from Konika Minolta, LMT, and various other brands to use based on the requirement and range of measurement.
