Chulalongkorn University (CU), founded in March 1917, is the oldest and among the most prestigious universities in Thailand, located in the heart of Bangkok. Chulalongkorn University has 20 faculties, 23 colleges and research institutes, and 8,138 faculty members. There are over 37,626 students, including 26,202 undergraduates, 10,656 postgraduates, and 768 certificate program students. Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) was later established in 1929. Based on QS university ranking 2022, the EE dept. was ranked 201-205 and first in Thailand.
CEPE has signed an Agreement of Corporation with the PSRL in June 14, 2023 at the Chulalongkorn University premises. The purpose of the agreement is to develop academia, research, and intuitional cooperation between the institutions in the areas in which both institutions desire to work together for their mutual benefit and foster a collaborative framework in the field of science and technology of light sources and lighting systems, and other resources in the field of lighting technology with a view to benefiting from each other’s initiatives and working procedures and also support collaboration among the individuals associated with the institution.
